In case anyone is interested (unlikely seeing as how all of my law school friends are busy studying for the Bar), here’s a link to my Note that was recently published in the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology.
Holographic wills in CA just need to have all material terms in a testator’s handwriting and be signed by that testator. Dates help, but that’s really all you need. My friend Mitch and I decided to create our wills instead of studying Wills. So that’s what I did today.
(Btw, I know that it’s redundant to write “property and all assets,” but I’d already written property and didn’t want to rewrite the whole thing — or revoke the will by physical act)
