Do my eyes deceive me or did we just have a White Christmas?

December 25, 2004 - 11:04 am No Comments

It’s Christmas time again…Merry Christmas everyone!  Christmas day has been AMAZING here.  I got loads of gifts and that’s always nice, but the coolest thing happened.  It snowed….in Texas!  Normally if it snows, its one or two flakes that you can barely see and they evaporate before they hit the ground.  Not this time.  It snowed.  Some towns within 20 miles got up to 11 inches of snow.  We weren’t that lucky, but we got a good 2 inches that stuck.  I never thought I’d see the day where it actually snowed at my house.  For me, cold weather sucks.  However, if it snows it makes everything alright.  Snow just makes anything beautiful, and its so much fun.  Anyway, I hope that everyone has an awesome Christmas doing whatever it is you’re doing.  Feel free to write me an email or call.  I should be free to go to a late movie or something if anyone wants to.  I really want to see The Aviator and The Life Aquatic.  Merry Christmas!!

IP Relay!

The last few days have been pretty uneventful.  Rick was here for two days so that was fun, but I didn’t have a whole lot to do.  We did have a blast using IP Relay though!  You can “call” people and talk to them through an operator who will type your response to them on AIM.  The funny thing is, the operators can’t engage in conversation and have to repeat whatever is typed/said.  Needless to say, we had fun typing the most disturbing and crude things we could.  Rick and I also pretended like I was going to commit suicide and got the operator to get concerned and ask if there was another number I could call and offer to call the authorities.  Good times…

Last night I got bored and rearranged my room.  There’s a lot more space now, which is good.  I also redid some of the posters.  Hopefully I’ll get some frames soon and be able to put up my favorite posters again.  Ok, that’s about it.  Oh yeah, and check out my new post on Sin City…

The First Annual Friendswood Chrismukkah!

December 18, 2004 - 11:08 am No Comments

So today was the greatest Chrismukkah Party of all time!  I don’t think we’ve all had that much fun in a long time, and we usually have loads of fun.  We started by building the most awesome free form gingerbread house out of graham crackers, gingerbread, lots of candy and “cement” icing.  Needless to say, it was gorgeous.  For pictures of it and more, look in the pictures section….then we opened presents.  I got the second season of Dawson’s Creek and the Syndrome action figure from The Incredibles!  Be jealous…very, very jealous.  However, the highlight of the night was without a doubt the 45 minute slideshow/video by Brandon and Katherine.  They spent three weeks putting together a “year in review” type video, with tons of pictures of all of us along with videos and pictures from our favorite shows, movies and events of the year.  It was amazing!  AMAZING!  It was such a great idea and done so well.  I was really in awe.  I can’t wait to get it on DVD and show my parents.  So yeah, that was my awesome night.  Now I’m going to go read The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and then go to bed.  I hope you like all the pictures and Merry Chrismukkah!!

Study break

December 8, 2004 - 11:09 am No Comments

Taking a quick break from studying.  Economics is kicking my ass.  Damn multiple choice tests to hell!!!!  Anyway, this past week has been very busy and I’m very stoked about school ending…tomorrow!!  Yeah!  I’ll be very happy when that time comes.  However, I don’t think I’ll be able to get an A in econ, so that kinda sucks.  Oh well.  You know why I don’t care?  Because UT is going to the Rose bowl!  What’s even better, I’m going to go with my dad!  It should be amazing.  Still, the idea of going all the way to California for a football game is crazy, but it’s worth it.  Who knows when we’ll be in the Rose bowl again?!

Oh, my phone is officially retarded.  It won’t stay on for more than a minute and anytime I try to do something it dies.  I’m gonna get a new one soon, but I will be pretty much without a phone for the next few days.  If you really need to get a hold of me, my dorm phone is 5124955576. I’ll probably be in the room most of the time until I leave (probably tomorrow) so that’s your best bet.  Oh!  I downloaded Return of the King: EE, but I can’t watch it until after my final!  It’s KILLING me!!  I want to see it so badly!  Anyway, I’ll get back to my evil economics.  I hope everyone is enjoying their December!

December!!!

It’s December!!!!! December is by far my favorite month!  The weather, the music, the presents…everything about this month is amazing.  Well, exams aren’t that great but they can’t bring down my spirits.  Speaking of which, I’m done with my biology class and that makes me happy.  But back to December.  I wish it snowed here, because that really makes the cold weather worth it.  Still, I love walking around at winter time.  It really brings out the emo kid in me.  So, if you share in the love of everything December make sure to give me a call and we’ll hang out with holiday spirit.

Things I can’t wait to do in December:
finish bio
finish school
watch Holiday Inn
watch Return of the King: EE
eat lots of food
lounge around the house…naked
watch the last UT football game
eating more food
listening to holiday music 24/7

All right, I should probably do some work.  Happy December everybody!  Oh yeah, and Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Joyful Kwanzaa, Seasons’ Greetings, Happy Boxing Day and Hook ‘Em Horns!
